Goat’s Milk Soap is a wonder for skin. The milk makes the soap very rich in natural oils, and contains highly moisturizing ingredients to leave your skin feeling clean, but not dry.
Our basic soap recipe includes: Olive, Coconut, Castor, Avocado and Neem Oils; Cocoa and Shea Butters; and beef tallow from grass-fed Black Angus at Foxbard Farm, where I work a day a week. This makes the soap harder so it lasts longer. Then essential oils are added both for their scent and various functional qualities, from skin softening to anti-bacterial properties. Sodium Hydroxide transforms the oils into Soap through saponification. All our soaps are aged at least 6 weeks, which leaves them hard enough to last and mild enough for the most sensitive skin.
Soap bars average 3.5 oz each and sell for $3.50/bar or 3 for $10. Some of our current “flavors” are:
- Goat’s Milk Kitchen Lemon & Rosemary, with coffee grounds for texture
- Goat’s Milk Lemon grass
- Goat’s Milk Lavendar & Patchouli
